Here on the TeLS Webletter we get some good comments from teachers who visit our Course Tours page. It is nice to be able to see other teachers courses and see how they use the tools and the pedagogy that drives them. Blackboard recently announced the Catalyst Awards at the Blackboard World conference and you can click here to see about 30 course tours from the winners. In addition to the winners from this year you can see past winners and some of the artifacts from the courses.
The Blackboard Exemplary Course Program began in 2000 with the goal of identifying and disseminating best practices for designing engaging online courses. Using the Exemplary Course Rubric, instructors and course designers are able to evaluate how well their own course conforms to best practices outlined in the rubric. Courses that are submitted to the program will be evaluated using the rubric by a peer group of Blackboard clients.
If you think your course is awesome and worthy of the award why not submit it for next years award! TeLS would be happy to help! And if you want to create a course tour of your course, let us know and we will add it to our Course Tours page so that other instructors can see what you are doing that works well!
Here is a playlist with the course tours.
