Yavapai College Faculty & Staff Win National Recognition!

We would like to recognize our very own Kelly Trainor and the great work he has done here at Yavapai College. Last month, Kelly was awarded a national honor in the form of the 2012 Instructional Technology Council’s Award for Outstanding Blended Course and Excellence in eLearning. Great work Kelly!

And, as you may have heard, the TeLS department won the Instructional Technology Council’s 2012 award for Outstanding Technical Support and Service. We are fortunate to be a part of the wonderful YC community and our work simply reflects the mission and people of the college!

In 1977, the American Association of Community and Junior Colleges created The Instructional Technology Council (ITC). The ITC’s mission is to provide exceptional leadership and professional development to its network of eLearning experts by advocating, collaborating, researching, and sharing exemplary, innovative practices and potential in learning technologies.

The ITC’s website has many great services available, from research on education and best practices to conferences and webinars.

And there is more great news from TeLS. Our very own instructional designer Todd Conaway is featured this month in the Technology With Intention blog curated by technology integration specialist Jac de Haan. Here is the full interview.
